Supplies oxygen and Nutrients
Perfect water storage
Optimal growing conditions

SERAMIS® Plant Granulate is made of high quality, refined clay which replaces the usual soil substrate when re-potting your houseplants. The granules absorb a vast amount of water, holding and dispensing it when the plant needs it. The porous granules hold the water in their pores, just like a sponge.

The porous granules distribute moisture evenly to the roots and provide optimal oxygenation. The roots grow into the porous surface of the granules, extracting water and nutrients as needed, whilst being optimally supplied with oxygen.

With SERAMIS® you are able to grow healthy and beautiful plants. SERAMIS® Plant Granulate offers even more advantages: it is light-weight; it does not age or compress; re-potting is easy and possible at any time, regardless of the age and size of plant.

SERAMIS® liquid plant food for flowering and green plants is the best plant food suitable for use with SERAMIS® Plant Granulate. Re-potting with SERAMIS

Fill the new, bigger and water tight pot up 1/3 with SERAMIS® Plant Granulate. Position your plant in the pot, keeping the remaining earth around the root ball, and continue filling up the pot with SERAMIS®. Insert the SERAMIS® moisture stick into the plant’s rootball. Water your plant. The optimal amount of water needed is approximately ¼ of the pot volume. Take care not to add more water, because excess, free water may harm your plant. Water Indicator

The SERAMIS® Watering Indicator measures moisture and is placed into the rootball of this plant.

The blue paper and the substrate are connected through an opening in the lower part of the Watering Indicator. If the substrate is moist, the paper will absorb water and the indicator display will be blue. When the substrate becomes dry as the water is absorbed into the plant, the Watering Indicator no longer receives any water and the colour will change to "red".

The colour change is a purely optical effect achieved by light refraction.

The Watering Indicator turns from blue to red when there is 20 – 25 % moisture remaining in the pot.

The Watering Indicator works reliably irrespective of the concentration of fertiliser. It’s simple to use and to read.

The Watering Indicator does not, however, indicate the amount of water required, it only indicates the correct time to water.

It is easy to check whether the Watering Indicator is functioning properly. To do so, the watering indicator should be placed in a full glass of water. After a space of 10 minutes max., the indicator display should have turned blue.

Blue Indicates with moisture

Red Indicates dry and requires watering
